Activist and security advocate, Harrison Gwamnishu, has declared that Delta State, particularly the Delta North Senatorial District, is recording major successes in the fight against kidnapping through the deployment of technology, synergy among security agencies, and community support.
In a statement on Sunday, Gwamnishu noted that no kidnapper can comfortably operate within Delta North and escape without consequences, thanks to the combined efforts of the Nigerian Army’s 63 Brigade, the Anti-Kidnapping Squad in Asaba, and local security teams.
“We are winning the war against kidnappers using technology, the bravery of our Armed Forces, the Police, and our local security teams. All that is required is your cooperation information is the key,” he said.
He commended Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for giving clear directives to security agencies to work together, while also supporting operations with advanced technology to track and apprehend kidnappers.
Gwamnishu emphasized that security is a collective responsibility and urged residents to provide timely information to help security agencies succeed in their mission.
“Some of us are risking it all daily, and what we ask in return is your support and timely information,” he stated, while assuring that the same security template would soon be extended to other parts of Delta State.
The activist reiterated his confidence in the joint efforts of the Army, Police, and community vigilantes, stressing that with continued collaboration, Delta communities would be freed from the grip of kidnapping.
