At the 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris, Luis Enrique was awarded the Johan Cruyff Trophy for Best Head Coach of the Year. He earned the honour after leading Paris Saint-Germain to their first-ever UEFA Champions League title, as well as delivering an outstanding overall season.
In the men’s player category, Ousmane Dembélé of PSG emerged as the favourite to win the Ballon d’Or, with strong competition from Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, who had an impressive double-winning campaign.
