Two children have been killed in a machete attack by yet-to-be-identified assailants at Kurungu village, Adogo, in Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Sources said the victims, Mohammed Aliyu, 14, and his younger brother, Yusuf Aliyu, 9, were attacked near their Fulani camp on Tuesday evening.
According to the sources, detectives visited the scene, documented evidence, and evacuated the bodies to the General Hospital mortuary for autopsy before they were released to the family for burial in line with Islamic rites.
The sources said preliminary investigations had commenced to track down the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
