Weeks after a peace agreement between the Katsina State Government and armed bandit groups, the Chairman of Sabuwa Local Government Area, Engr. Sagir Tanimu, has come under fire for attending the wedding ceremony of children belonging to some of the bandits.

The event, which reportedly took place in Kadawan Dandume village, was said to be part of the state’s continued reconciliation efforts with the armed groups operating in the area.

Engr. Tanimu was joined by other dignitaries, including the Prince of Kogo Emirate, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello Kogo, and the District Head of Sabuwa, who accompanied Fulani residents into the forest to witness the ceremony.
