An 18-year-old boy, Moh D Umaru, has died after being attacked during a clash with some youths in Jajeri Karasuwa Local Government Area, Yobe State, police confirmed on Thursday.
Akelicious report that the incident occurred at about 10:30 a.m. while the victim was returning from Maulud festival celebrations.
A misunderstanding reportedly escalated into a fight with some Fulani youths of Lamido Goje Fulani settlement, during which Umaru sustained severe internal head injuries.
He was immediately rushed to Specialist Hospital, Gashua, Bade LGA, for medical attention but was later declared dead while on admission.
Authorities have launched an investigation to apprehend the fleeing suspects, and efforts are ongoing to bring them to justice.
