A massive gridlock has crippled movement along the Obajana–Kabba Highway in Kogi State, after a group of truck drivers blocked the major route, leaving thousands of motorists stranded.
ARISE News gathered that the situation has severely disrupted travel, particularly for commuters heading to various ceremonies and political events scheduled for today.
While the exact cause of the standoff remains unclear at the time of filing this report, sources say an altercation between the truck drivers and some security personnel may have triggered the protest action.
With the highway locked down, motorists have been forced to take alternative routes through Okene to gain access to Kabba town, causing further delays and travel disruptions across the region.
