The Member of Parliament for the Salaga South Constituency, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has marked this year’s Christmas celebrations by extending goodwill to inmates of the Salaga Prisons and patients on admission at the Salaga Municipal (Government) Hospital.
As part of the annual tradition, the MP donated packed takeaway meals, assorted drinks, and bottled mineral water to the inmates and hospital patients, reaffirming her commitment to supporting the needy and less privileged during festive seasons.
The presentation was carried out on her behalf by the constituency executives, led by the Zongo Caucus Coordinator, Mr. Sumaila Ibn Hafiz. Speaking during the exercise, Mr. Ibn Hafiz explained that the gesture was inspired by the Christian injunction to show love, compassion, and charity to all, particularly during celebrations such as Christmas.
Receiving the items at the Salaga Prisons, DSP Opare, on behalf of the Ghana Prisons Service and the inmates, commended Hon. Hajia Zuwera for her consistent benevolence and support to the prison community over the years.
At the Salaga Municipal Hospital, the donation was received by Madam Rafia, the nurse in charge of the maternity ward, who expressed gratitude to the MP and her team for remembering patients on admission during the festive period.
Both the prison inmates and hospital patients expressed appreciation to Hon. Hajia Zuwera for the kind gesture, offering prayers for Allah’s continued guidance, protection, and success in her service to humanity.
