A minitruck carrying tomatoes lost control due to brake failure along Otedola Bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Thursday.
The accident, which happened around noon had no fatalities as a family in one of the vehicles narrowly escaped death.
According eyewitness, the truck veered off the road, slamming into ongoing vehicles on the bridge.
Otedola Bridge remains one of Lagos’ most notorious accident blackspots, frequently plagued by brake failures, truck mishaps, and structural concerns.
Past crashes have included fatal tanker explosions, container falls, and multi-vehicle collisions.
Last year, a fatal crash happened on the bridge, killing three family members in an Audi-truck collision, and container truck.
In the same year, a vehicle fell off the bridge in April, leading to serious injury to the driver involved.
