A young Nigerian girl, Anu Adeleke, has publicly appealed to popular singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, to undergo a DNA test to confirm their biological relationship.
In a heartfelt post shared on social media, Anu, who is about to become a teenager, recounted the challenges she has faced over the years, including being bullied at school since the age of six for her family background. She described the period as mentally and emotionally difficult, noting that she even sought professional help to cope.
Despite these challenges, Anu said she excelled academically, rising to the top of her class and earning the position of class prefect. She also revealed that her family did not maintain an active online presence for five years, which kept her private struggles largely away from public view.
In her post, Anu expressed a desire to establish her identity as she transitions into adolescence. She respectfully requested that Davido consider taking a DNA test with her, emphasizing that it is a personal decision and one she believes is the right thing to do. She also stated that she had sent a direct message to the singer.
“Thank you to all Nigerians who have given me emotional support for the last seven years. This DNA test is the right thing to do for me,” Anu wrote.
The post has already attracted attention from social media users and fans of the singer, with many expressing support for the young girl.
