A Facebook user, Charles Ifeanyi Obi, has called the attention of Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, to alleged unwholesome practices by some road construction workers.
According to his post, sand is being poured into drainage channels by some road sweepers and construction companies, blocking gutters and damaging newly constructed roads even before completion.
He warns that if left unchecked, such actions could weaken the quality and lifespan of ongoing road projects and is urging the state government to step in urgently to protect public infrastructure.
