Real Madrid Left Hurt After Fans Boo at Bernabéu

Real Madrid players and members of the club’s board are reportedly sad and disappointed following the hostile reaction from sections of the home crowd at the Santiago Bernabéu, according to Spanish outlet COPE.

The reaction came after Madrid’s recent game against Levante, where several players were booed by fans despite the team’s long-standing success and reputation. Sources within the club say the response has caused genuine shock inside the dressing room and at board level.

According to the report, the club feels that some supporters only show loyalty when results are positive, but quickly turn against the players during difficult moments. This perceived lack of backing has deeply affected the squad.

“The club feels some fans only support the players when things are going well, and disappear when things turn bad,” COPE reports, adding that this attitude has surprised those inside Valdebebas.

The message from the locker room after the Levante match was said to be particularly emotional and direct:
“If you only applaud us in glory but vanish in defeat, you were never one of us.”

Real Madrid, a club built on unity between players and supporters during both triumphs and setbacks, now finds itself reflecting on the relationship with parts of its fanbase. While criticism is accepted as part of elite football, the feeling inside the club is that unconditional support especially in tough moments is what truly defines being a Madridista.
