Nkpor, in Anambra State, witnessed a dramatic scene on Tuesday as members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) staged a “Trump Solidarity” rally, renewing calls for the immediate release of their detained leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
The protesters marched through major streets carrying placards and chanting solidarity slogans, drawing attention from residents and commuters. They linked their demonstration to what they described as global political movements, while reiterating their long-standing demand for Kanu’s freedom.
The rally was peaceful, though it attracted a visible security presence as authorities monitored the situation to prevent a breakdown of law and order. No incidents of violence were reported at the time of filing this report.
