The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially unveiled the AFCON 2025 Team of the Tournament, celebrating the standout performers who lit up the competition with exceptional displays across all departments.

Morocco dominated the selection with four players, underlining their tactical discipline and consistency throughout the tournament. Senegal also made a strong impression with four inclusions, reflecting their physical presence and midfield control, while Nigeria earned three spots following an impressive campaign driven by attacking brilliance and defensive solidity.

Between the sticks, Yassine Bounou of Morocco was named goalkeeper of the tournament after a series of decisive saves that proved crucial for his side. The defence features Achraf Hakimi and Noussair Mazraoui of Morocco, Nigeria’s Calvin Bassey, and Senegal’s Moussa Niakhaté, forming a balanced backline combining pace, strength and composure.

In midfield, Morocco’s Brahim Díaz was selected alongside Senegalese duo Pape Gueye and Idrissa Gana Gueye, whose work rate and tactical intelligence stood out throughout the competition.

The attacking trio reflects sheer firepower and experience, with Senegal’s Sadio Mané joined by Nigerian stars Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, both of whom played pivotal roles in Nigeria’s journey, contributing crucial goals and match-winning performances.
