Gunmen invaded Okporojo community in Oso Edda, Edda Local Government Area, Ebonyi State, killed 5 persons, burnt many houses and kidnapped several people.
The gunmen took residents of the community unaware with sporadic shooting to cause panic.The mission of invaders could not be ascertained.
There was, however, insinuation of prolonged land dispute between Oso Edda in Edda Local Government Area and Amasiri in Afikpo Local Government Area of the state. Some residents also were suspicious of terrorist attack in the state.
