Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of Enugu State has been described as a man committed to rural development and inclusive growth.
The Chief Executive Officer of First Choice Afro Villa Ltd and Mburubu Construction Company, High Chief Dr. Jerry Patrick Onuokaibe, made this known on Sunday in a congratulatory message he personally sent to newsmen in honour of Governor Mbah’s nomination as The Sun Newspaper’s Man of the Year.
He stated that the recognition is a sign of the governor’s practical approach to governance, especially his focus on taking development to rural communities that had long been neglected.
According to him, the impact of the current administration is clearly visible in many parts of Enugu State, with Mburubu in Nkanu East Local Government Area standing as a clear example.
He also stated that, Mburubu is currently witnessing government presence through the construction of major road projects, including the 12.96km Nomeh–Mburubu–Nara Road and the 7.20km Mburubu–Nkereffi Road; adding that ,these roads have improved access to the community, eased the movement of farm produce, and reduced the hardship residents previously faced during the rainy season.
Chief Dr. Onuokaibe further pointed out that the community is also benefiting from Governor Mbah’s investments in education and healthcare, with an Enugu State Smart Green School and a Type 2 Primary Healthcare Hospital located in Mburubu.
Both facilities, he said, are about 90 per cent completed and are expected to improve learning conditions for children and access to medical services for residents when fully operational.
He also posited that the projects have strengthened economic and social activities in the area and restored confidence among the people that government can deliver meaningful development at the grassroots.
He however ,expressed hope that the pace of work would be sustained to ensure timely completion and continued progress across rural communities in Enugu State,while also assuring the Governor of unflinching support in his re-election bid by the good people of Mburubu .

On behalf of my family, companies, and the good people of Mburubu in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, I warmly congratulate His Excellency, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on his conferment as The Sun Newspaper’s Man of the Year.
Your Excellency, Sir, this honour did not come as a surprise to us. You have shown Ndi Enugu that leadership is about the will and ability to deliver the dividends of democracy through clear action and results. Your administration has introduced a focused style of governance that places value on planning, speed, and impact.
In Mburubu, we are experiencing government presence in a way we have not seen in many years. This is evident in the ongoing construction of the 12.96km Nomeh–Mburubu–Nara Road and the 7.20km Mburubu–Nkereffi Road, both of which pass through key parts of our community, including areas close to my residence. These road projects are active and steadily progressing.
Before now, poor road conditions affected farming, trading, schooling, and access to healthcare, especially during the rainy season. With these roads, farmers now move produce more easily, traders reach markets faster, and residents travel with less difficulty. The roads also connect Mburubu to neighbouring communities such as Nomeh, Nara, and Nkereffi, improving movement within Nkanu East.
Mburubu is also benefiting from your administration’s investment in education and healthcare. Our community is hosting an Enugu State Smart Green School, which is now about 90% completed. The school is designed to provide modern classrooms, digital learning facilities, and a better learning environment for children in Mburubu and surrounding communities.
In the area of healthcare, Mburubu is also benefiting from a Type 2 Primary Healthcare Hospital, which is likewise about 90% completed. When fully operational, the facility will provide maternal care, child health services, emergency response, and general medical care, reducing the need for residents to travel long distances for treatment.
