Biafra activists under the leadership of Gentle de Yahoo have issued a warning to residents to complete any outdoor activities before midnight today, Sunday, February 1, ahead of a planned sit-at-home protest across Biafra territories.
The group cited alleged threats from the Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo, and security forces, warning that they may target residents to undermine the reputation of Biafrans.
The activists said the protest, scheduled for Monday, February 2, is in solidarity with Onitsha market traders who have faced what they describe as oppression and unfair treatment. In a statement, Gentle de Yahoo said, “This is because Soludo and the kill-evil security want to kpai you to tarnish the good image of Biafrans. We are standing in solidarity with the oppressed Onitsha market traders in a Biafra-wide sit-at-home protest on Monday.”
