A 30-year-old woman identified as Ibekwe Ezinne Mary has been accused of killing her 17-year-old salesgirl, Ihechidere Favour Uka, in Lagos State.
The tragic incident reportedly occurred at about 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at a cosmetics shop where the teenager was working.
According to a family source, Ihechidere was employed by Ezinne as a sales assistant. Trouble began after the suspect allegedly asked the teenager to bring an item from the shop. When the girl did not return on time, an argument reportedly ensued.
The suspect allegedly slapped the teenager twice during the altercation. The victim reportedly slapped her back once, which further escalated the situation.
Sources claim that Ezinne then picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed the teenager in the chest, causing severe bleeding. Ihechidere was said to have collapsed and later died from her injuries.
The suspect was arrested and is currently in police custody, where she allegedly confessed to the act during interrogation.
