Mayor, Igwe and Community Members hail Gov Peter Mbah over laudable projects, pledge support to boost massive Community Developmensts.
In continuation of EN-CARES projects inspection,the CSDA General Manager and Chief Executive Hon Monday Diamond Ani Inspects EN-CARES projects in Enugu East and Isiuzo LGAs.
These projects include Drinkable Water(Boreholes)and Toilet built by the Enugu State Government through the Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA).
The good people of Isiuzo LGA especially the Ihienyi and Umuezuboke,Umalor Communities all eulogized Governor Peter Mbah for the provision of Water(Boreholes) which is one of their basic needs and has alleviated aged-long sufferings of water deficiency for them.
Focal Point of the Inspection was a warm reception by The Executive Chairman of Enugu East LGA Hon Pastor Beloved-Dan Obi Anike, and His Royal Highness Igwe Emmanuel Ugwu(Ezeokwe 1 of Okwe Kingdom) at the Enugu East Local Government Council Headquarters.
Hon Beloved Dan Anike reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering support for the Enugu State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA).
These supports include necessary and most needful logistical backing for the Local Government Review Committee (LGRC) to drive effective community development in line with the World Bank Standard.
Anike emphasized that all CSDA-intervened communities in the area would adhere strictly to the agency’s objectives and guidelines.
In a key highlight, the chairman reiterated his commitment to eradicating open defecation, revealing that over 1,500 SaToPan toilets have already been distributed as part of sanitation initiatives,and that he would support immensely the Enugu CSDA for more robust results in the 2.0 phase of the NG-CARES Program.
During the visit, Igwe Emmanuel Ugwu, Chairman of the Enugu East Traditional Rulers Council and the PRO of Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council, lauded Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah the Executive Governor of Enugu State for His significant achievements in rural development.
He also commended Hon Diamond for his dedication, commitment and effective leadership at the CSDA.
Hon Diamond while responding, stated that the inspections and monitoring of CSDA projects in Enugu State is to evaluate already done projects,the ongoing ones and most importantly capture the communities yet to be reached in line with Governor Peter Mbah’s desire to reach every single community in Enugu state with basic needed projects like Water, Toilet and so on.
Therefore,this exercise underscores the state government’s broader push for sustainable development in rural Enugu, with CSDA playing a pivotal role in infrastructure and social welfare projects.
Community Residents in Isiuzo and Enugu East LGAs where these laudable Water and Toilet projects were sited shared positive testimonies, appreciating and thanking the State Government for providing portable drinking water.
Noting that the intervention has alleviated hardships such as long treks for water and reduced waterborne diseases in their communities.
