UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has said Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe should apologise following controversial remarks in which he reportedly claimed that Britain is being “colonised by immigrants.”
Speaking during a public engagement, Starmer described the comment as “offensive and wrong,” stressing that the United Kingdom is “a proud, tolerant and diverse country.”
The Prime Minister said such language does not reflect British values and risks deepening divisions at a time when immigration remains a sensitive political issue.
“Britain is a proud, tolerant and diverse country,” Starmer said, adding that Ratcliffe should retract the statement and issue an apology.
