Argentine youngster Gianluca Prestianni has broken his silence following accusations of racism involving Vinícius Júnior during a heated encounter with Real Madrid.
In a statement released after the incident, Prestianni firmly denied directing any racist remarks toward the Brazilian forward.
“I want to clarify that at no time did I direct racist insults to Real Madrid player Vinicius Jr — who has regrettably misunderstood what he thought he heard from me,” Prestianni said.
The young winger stressed that he has never engaged in racist behavior throughout his career.
“I was never racist with anyone and I regret the threats I received from Real Madrid players,” he added.
