Communities in Mansur, Digare, Gwana, and surrounding areas of Alkaleri LGA, Bauchi State are under heavy attacks from armed bandits, forcing hundreds of families to flee.
Residents report repeated raids, ambushes, and attacks on local patrols, with villagers killed, livestock stolen, and homes destroyed. Many are running for their lives as settlements are emptied.
Border communities including Futuk, Kashere, Duguri, and Gwana have been hit repeatedly. Security forces are being deployed, and the state government has appealed for urgent support to contain the violence.
