Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, on Monday attended the 2026 state congress of the All Progressives Congress held at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium, Onikan.
The event drew party members and stakeholders from across the state as the Lagos chapter commenced proceedings to elect new state executives.
The congress, conducted in line with the party’s constitution, is aimed at strengthening internal structures ahead of future elections.
Party leaders described the turnout as strong, with proceedings focused on consolidating grassroots organisation in the state.
