A man from Northern Nigeria has sparked reactions on social media after expressing frustration over worsening insecurity while reacting to the reported donation of 500,000 prayer mats by Seyi Tinubu.
In a viral video circulating online, the man said residents in the North have “nothing to say” to Seyi Tinubu and his father, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, amid the persistent attacks by bandits in many communities across the region.
While acknowledging the donation of prayer mats, the man spoke sarcastically about the gesture, saying it would at least allow people to pray for victims of bandit attacks.
“May God grant his father long life and good health for giving us 500,000 prayer mats, so we can at least pray for our people after bandits kill them,” he said in the video.
He added that beyond prayer mats, communities may soon require more burial materials due to the frequency of attacks.
“The only things left now are the burial shrouds and the funeral biers. We will also need more burial grounds because of the way bandits are killing our people every day,” he lamented.
