“You Must Perform All Year” – Patrice Evra Sends Warning to Cole Palmer Over Manchester United Move

Patrice Evra and Cole Palmer

Former Patrice Evra has cast doubt on whether Cole Palmer would immediately elevate Manchester United, insisting that the pressure at the club is far greater than at Chelsea FC.

Speaking during a recent discussion about Palmer’s performances, Evra stressed that playing for Manchester United demands consistent excellence throughout the entire season, not just short periods of good form.

According to the former United defender, players at the club are expected to deliver top performances every week because of the high standards and intense scrutiny that come with wearing the famous red shirt.

“When you play for Manchester United, you can’t have a good month — you have to perform all year. That’s the pressure of playing for this club,” Evra said.

He added that it remains unclear whether Palmer would instantly raise United’s level, noting that the expectations at Old Trafford are very different from those at Chelsea.

Evra also pointed out that the England international has struggled with injuries recently and will need time to regain his best form before proving he can consistently perform at the highest level.

“Palmer has had a lot of injuries and he needs to get back in form,” Evra added.
