Just hours after declaring a recent price increase, Dangote Refinery has once again raised petrol prices, as international crude oil prices keep rising.
In its latest customer advisory, the refinery lifted the gantry price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from ₦1,245 to ₦1,275 per litre marking an extra ₦30 jump within the same day. The updated pricing takes effect from 12:00 a.m. on March 21, 2026, superseding all earlier announced rates.
The company emphasized that “the prices contained in our previous correspondence are no longer applicable and should be disregarded,” reflecting a complete revision of its pricing in response to rapidly shifting market dynamics.
The coastal supply price was similarly adjusted upward, moving from ₦1,512,648 to ₦1,646,748 per metric tonne. These new rates apply to all outstanding and yet-to-be-discharged volumes. Customers holding valid Bank Guarantees may proceed with loading under existing ATCs and PRNs, as long as they settle the additional price difference.
These consecutive hikes illustrate how swiftly global crude price fluctuations are transmitting into Nigeria’s downstream sector, increasing the chances of more widespread increases at fuel stations across the country.
