Dramatic footage has emerged from Newlands West, Durban, on Saturday, March 28, 2026, capturing a brazen cash-in-transit heist outside Midway Mall.
In the video, heavily armed suspects are seen intercepting an armoured vehicle before detonating explosives to breach it.
Moments later, the suspects are filmed swiftly loading cash and valuables into getaway vehicles before fleeing the scene at high speed.
Authorities are yet to release an official statement on casualties or arrests, but emergency services were reportedly dispatched to the scene.
