
The United Arab Emirates, UAE, is now preparing to help US open strait of Hormuz by force.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the UAE is currently lobbying the United Nations, UN, Security Council for authorization.
It means that the UAE would be the first Gulf country to become a combatant in the conflict, which began on 28 February if it gets involved.
The UAE and its oil infrastructure have been repeatedly targeted by Iranian drones.
President Donald Trump on Tuesday said that the USA would not bother itself about keeping the Strait of Hormuz open. He said countries who are dependent on the Strait will have to fight for themselves.
Trump noted that countries, even the US known allies, have all turned deaf ears to the call by America to help reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
Just yesterday, the US President told the United Kingdom specifically that it would learn to help itself, adding that the US would no longer help the UK.
The UK and nations in Europe have all rejected the call by the US to get involved in the ongoing war in Iran.
France recently prevented Isreal from flying its airspace, insisting that it was part of its policy since the beginning of the war with Iran.
