Isaac Fayose Predicts Intense 2027 Showdown, Hints at Obi–Kwankwaso Alliance

A Nigerian businessman and public commentator, Isaac Fayose, has stirred fresh political conversations ahead of the 2027 general elections with remarks suggesting a possible realignment among opposition figures.

Speaking in a recent statement, Fayose questioned the chances of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu returning to power in 2027, pointing to what he described as a potentially formidable coalition of political heavyweights.

According to him, talks or speculations around an alliance between Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso could significantly reshape the political landscape. Fayose noted that Kwankwaso’s political base, widely known for its loyalty, combined with Obi’s “Obidient” movement, would create a powerful force.

“Kwankwaso is not the kind of gentleman Obi had as his running mate in 2023. His followers are die-hard, and the Obidient movement is still strong,” Fayose said.

He further added that if supporters of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar were to align with such a coalition, the political contest would become even more intense across the country.
