The Senate on Thursday screened Hajiya Amina Ibrahim Gamawa following her nomination by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointment as Commissioner of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), representing Bauchi State.
The screening was conducted by the Senate Committee on National Planning, presided over by its Vice Chairman, Senator Augustine Akobundu.
During the exercise, Gamawa was accorded the customary parliamentary honour of “taking a bow and exiting,” in recognition of her public service record and political experience. The motion for her to take a bow was moved by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu and seconded by Senator Sani Musa.
All three senators representing Bauchi State—Senator Abdul Ningi, Senator Shehu Buba, and Senator Sani Musa—were present in solidarity during the session.
Lawmakers commended her background in administrative and party coordination roles, noting her contributions in governance and political engagement.
Prior to her nomination, Gamawa served as Deputy Director of Administration (Presidential Liaison) at the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC), where she was responsible for coordinating administrative activities and maintaining liaison between the party and the Presidency.
Her screening marks a key step toward her confirmation as RMAFC Commissioner representing Bauchi State.
