Casemiro has revealed the heartfelt reason behind his emotional reaction after the final whistle, admitting that his time at Manchester United has given him a deeper sense of belonging than ever before.
The Brazilian midfielder, who previously enjoyed a trophy-laden spell at Real Madrid, said the connection he has built with United fans has touched him in a unique way — powerful enough to bring him to tears.
“I spent most of my career in Spain playing for Real Madrid, where I won many trophies,” Casemiro said. “But in just a few seasons at Manchester United, I’ve felt something different — something deeper enough to make a grown man cry. Here, I truly feel at home.”
The former Madrid star highlighted the atmosphere at Old Trafford, praising the passion and unwavering support of the fans.
“The chants, the energy, the love from supporters — even for the smallest efforts — mean everything to me,” he added.
Casemiro also compared his experiences at both clubs, noting that while winning silverware in Spain was unforgettable, the emotional connection at United gives every victory a special meaning.
“At Madrid, winning trophies was incredible, but here, even a single win feels just as meaningful — like lifting a trophy of its own,” he explained.
