In a world where words are often carefully chosen and emotions quietly hidden, one truth remains undeniable: our eyes speak. They reveal the untold stories, the silent struggles, and the unexpressed hopes within us. Even when we try to mask our feelings, our eyes remain honest messengers of the heart.
Beyond their emotional expression, our eyes are also vital to how we experience life—how we see opportunities, recognize loved ones, and navigate our daily paths. Yet, many people in our communities continue to live with preventable or treatable eye conditions simply due to lack of access to proper care.
It is in this spirit of compassion, service, and community development that Hon. Gwacham Maureen Chinwe, Member Representing Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency, is once again demonstrating purposeful leadership. Through a Free Eye Care Outreach scheduled from 8th to 12th May 2026, hope will be restored, and lives will be transformed.
Venues:
Solution General Hospital, Anaku (Ayamelum LGA)
Primary Health Center, Ogbunike (Oyi LGA)
Services to be offered include:
Cataract Surgery
Free Medical Glasses
Eye Test & Treatment.
These services are not just medical interventions—they are acts of restoration, giving individuals the chance to see clearly again, to regain independence, and to rediscover dignity.
This outreach stands as a powerful reminder that no one should be left in darkness due to lack of access to healthcare. It is a golden opportunity for residents to receive professional eye care completely free of charge.
More than a health initiative, this program reflects a leadership style anchored in empathy, responsibility, and a deep commitment to the welfare of the people. Hon. Gwacham Maureen Chinwe continues to prove that true representation goes beyond words—it is seen in action, felt in impact, and measured in the lives touched.
As you go about your daily life, remember: your eyes are not just for seeing—they are for understanding, connecting, and expressing what words cannot say. When properly cared for, they empower you to live fully and confidently.
The good people of Oyi and Ayamelum have continued to show strong support and appreciation for her outstanding performance and people-oriented leadership. Their voices echo a collective desire for continuity, as they stand firmly in support of her second tenure—trusting her to build on the solid foundation she has already laid.
Indeed, her record speaks clearly—just like our eyes.
Do not miss this opportunity. Care for your eyes, for they tell your story.
