Panic has gripped the Nasarawa State University, Keffi community following the reported abduction of no fewer than eight students by suspected gunmen during a midnight attack on off-campus hostels near the institution’s Engineering Campus in Gudi.

The incident reportedly occurred around 1:00 a.m. on Thursday when heavily armed attackers stormed several student lodges located around the university environment. Eyewitnesses said the gunmen forcefully broke into the hostels and whisked away the victims to an unknown destination.

Sources within the area disclosed that the attack lasted for several minutes, throwing the entire student community into confusion and fear as gunshots and screams rented the air throughout the operation.
