Businessman and presidential hopeful Mohammed Hayatu-Deen has formally submitted his nomination forms to contest the presidential primary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), declaring his readiness to lead Nigeria and tackle the nation’s pressing challenges.
Announcing his decision, Hayatu-Deen said Nigeria is currently at a critical point, citing rising inflation, increasing fuel costs, worsening insecurity, and growing unemployment among young people as some of the issues demanding urgent intervention.
The presidential aspirant noted that his decision to seek the ADC ticket was driven by what he described as the need for experienced and honest leadership. He highlighted his four decades of experience in building institutions, creating jobs, and restructuring struggling organizations as evidence of his capacity to govern.
On security, Hayatu-Deen unveiled a tough stance against criminality, promising to confront kidnapping and banditry with stricter enforcement measures. According to him, individuals involved in kidnapping operations and their collaborators would face prosecution under terrorism laws if elected.
He also described the ADC as a platform capable of offering Nigerians a fresh political direction, distancing it from what he termed the failures of the past.
Hayatu-Deen expressed confidence in his ambition, insisting that Nigeria is ready for change and calling on citizens to join him in building a safer and more prosperous future.
