Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has officially submitted his presidential nomination forms at the secretariat of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), formally declaring his bid for the 2027 presidential election.
Atiku made the submission in Abuja on Thursday, describing his ambition as part of a broader national movement aimed at restoring hope, rebuilding the economy, and rescuing Nigeria from its current challenges.
In a statement shared after the submission, the former presidential candidate said the journey was “more than a political movement,” stressing that it represents a collective resolve to reposition the country and return Nigeria to prosperity.
Atiku’s declaration is expected to intensify political activities nationwide as parties and aspirants begin consultations, screenings, and coalition-building ahead of the next general election.
