Troops of 149 Battalion Operation HADIN KAI in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) have arrested a suspected teenage terrorist in Gubio town, Borno.
Security sources disclosed that the suspect, identified as Umar Zacharria, 15, was arrested at about 1:20 p.m. on May 14 during a joint operation by troops and CJTF operatives.
The sources said preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect hailed from Jere Local Government Area and allegedly confessed to being among terrorists terrorising motorists along the Kareto general area.
According to the sources, the suspect is currently in the custody of the military for further investigation.
