Bamidele Salam Blasts Leaders Over School Insecurity, Says Their Children Are Shielded Abroad

Bamidele Salam

Hon. Bamidele Salam has criticised government leaders over the rising insecurity affecting schools across Nigeria.

The lawmaker said many leaders have not shown enough urgency because their own children are either in private schools or studying outside the country.

He argued that if government can provide security for private individuals and public institutions, then it should also be able to protect schools.

Salami said children from poor families and workers are the ones mostly exposed to danger in public schools, while children of the powerful are kept far away from the crisis.

He called on the Federal Government to create a special security force dedicated to protecting schools amid the growing wave of abductions.
