No fewer than nine Christians have reportedly been killed, while 11 others sustained injuries following a deadly overnight attack on mourners in Ungwan Majaji, a community in Kaduna State.
According to reports, the victims had gathered to mourn the death of an elderly woman when heavily armed assailants stormed the area, opening fire on residents and attendees.
The attack, which occurred late at night, left several people dead at the scene, while the injured were rushed to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
Sources said women and children were among the casualties, with several minors reportedly killed or wounded during the assault.
