
The Anambra State Police Command has met with stakeholders from Alor Community in Idemili South Local Government Area as investigations continue into the suspected murder of a 23-year-old female student in the community.
The delegation, led by the President General of Alor, Mr. Emmanuel Ojukwu, alongside several Red Cap Chiefs, visited the Command on Thursday, June 26, to support the ongoing investigation and reaffirm the community’s commitment to ensuring justice is served.
During the meeting, the community leaders provided useful information to assist investigators and pledged their full cooperation with the Police in uncovering the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident and identifying those responsible.
Speaking during the interactive session, the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, assured the stakeholders that the Command remains committed to conducting a thorough investigation and ensuring that anyone found culpable is prosecuted in accordance with the law.
He also appealed to members of the public to remain calm, avoid speculation, and provide credible information that could aid the investigation.
In his remarks, the President General of Alor Community commended the Police for their swift response and professionalism in handling the case. He expressed confidence in the ongoing investigation and pledged the community’s continued support until justice is achieved.
The Police Command reiterated its commitment to protecting lives and property, assuring the bereaved family, the Alor community, and the general public that no stone would be left unturned in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
According to the Command’s spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
