The APGA Mayoral Candidate for Ayamelum Local Government Area, Emmanuel Igwebuike, has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the party’s presence in the council, saying his vision is to make Ayamelum a stronghold of APGA where residents enjoy the dividends of democracy.
Igwebuike stated that the increasing support from stakeholders and residents reflects growing confidence in the party’s vision as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
He disclosed that he recently held a strategic meeting alongside the APGA House of Assembly candidate for Ayamelum State Constituency, Chinedu Emmanuel Obodoeze, with Onuya Christian Maduka, who officially defected from the NDC to APGA following consultations with party stakeholders in Awka.
According to Igwebuike, Maduka’s decision to join APGA demonstrates his commitment to the development of Ayamelum and Anambra State. He welcomed the former NDC member into the party, expressing confidence that his experience and dedication would contribute to APGA’s growth in the local government.
The APGA mayoral candidate also commended Obodoeze for his role in facilitating the engagement, describing him as a committed partner in efforts to unite party members and expand APGA’s influence across Ayamelum.
Igwebuike further called on his supporters and other residents who believe in his leadership to identify with APGA, stressing that the party remains the platform through which his administration intends to deliver development and good governance to the people of Ayamelum.
He concluded by expressing optimism that a united APGA would secure victory and deliver meaningful democratic dividends across all communities in the local government ahead of the 2027 elections.
