Abia Government Hails Release of Abducted Oyo Schoolchildren, Commends Tinubu, Security Agencies

The Abia State Government has expressed relief and gratitude over the safe release of the schoolchildren and teachers who were abducted in Oyo State, describing their freedom as a moment of joy for the entire nation.

In a statement issued on Sunday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Abia State, Ctz. Ukoha Njoku Ukoha, the government thanked God for preserving the lives of the victims throughout their ordeal.

The statement prayed for the victims’ complete healing, emotional recovery, and a smooth return to school after the traumatic experience.

The Abia Government also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership and commitment toward securing the release of the abducted victims.

It further praised the efforts of the nation’s security agencies, applauding their gallantry, professionalism, coordinated intelligence, and determination, which led to the successful rescue of the schoolchildren and teachers.

The state government also expressed solidarity with Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, the Oyo State Government, and the families of the victims, while praying that such incidents would never recur in the country.
