Mason Haynes, a longtime bodyguard who protected members of the Kardashian-Jenner family and several other high-profile celebrities, has died at the age of 52.
According to a GoFundMe campaign created for his family, Haynes died in a traffic accident on July 4, just two days before his 53rd birthday.
Haynes spent years working with the Kardashian-Jenner family, serving as a trusted security guard for Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner and Kanye West. He was also part of Kim Kardashian’s security team during the 2016 armed robbery in Paris.
Beyond the Kardashian family, Haynes provided close protection for several global stars, including Kevin Hart, Nicki Minaj, Charlie Puth and Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton.
His employer, Trojan Security UK, paid tribute to him, describing him as an “absolute legend” in the close-protection industry and saying he was “gone too soon.”
The fundraiser also remembered Haynes as a devoted protector, mentor and prankster who made everyone around him feel like family. Organizers said they had received hundreds of heartfelt messages from people whose lives he impacted.
Mason Haynes is survived by his wife, Fay, daughter Brooke and son Noah.
