The Anambra State Police Command has said the promotion and decoration of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Nnamdi Anabuike will encourage more young people in the state to pursue careers in the Nigeria Police Force.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, described the decoration of ACP Anabuike, an indigene of Nnewi North Local Government Area, as a significant milestone for both the community and Anambra State.
According to the Command, ACP Anabuike was decorated on July 24, 2026, at the Nigeria Police Force Zone 13 Headquarters by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 13, AIG Godwin Iguh Eze.
The Command said the achievement reflects the opportunities available within the Nigeria Police Force for officers who demonstrate dedication, discipline, and commitment to duty.
It expressed optimism that the recognition would motivate more youths across Anambra State to embrace policing as a noble profession focused on protecting lives and property, promoting justice, and contributing to national development.
The Police Command congratulated ACP Anabuike on his promotion and wished him continued success in his service to the nation.
It also urged young people in the state to remain focused, uphold integrity, and take advantage of career opportunities in the Nigeria Police Force as a pathway to meaningful public service.
