Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has approved the recruitment of more than 6,500 qualified teachers and education personnel to strengthen the state’s public school system, particularly the 267 Smart Green Schools.
The approval is part of the administration’s commitment to providing the human resources needed to drive the Smart Green School initiative and improve the quality of education across the state.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by the Executive Chairman of the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB), Prof. Hyginus Okibe Banko.
According to the statement, applicants for teaching positions must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, or a Bachelor’s Degree/HND in a relevant discipline with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), or a Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) in the specified subject areas. Candidates must also be registered, or provide proof of ongoing registration, with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
The board also disclosed that vacancies are available for OND and SSCE/WASSCE holders in relevant administrative and support positions.
Applicants seeking Degree or HND positions are required to present a valid NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate and demonstrate practical proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools.
Interested candidates are to submit a formal application letter, detailed curriculum vitae (CV), copies of academic and professional credentials, a birth certificate or sworn declaration of age, and valid contact details.
Hard copy applications should be submitted to the Office of the Executive Chairman, Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB), Enugu State.
