A Nigerian man has sparked a debate on social media after sharing his take on paternity fraud.
In a video making the rounds on social media, the man, while speaking at a public forum, said that if he ever finds out one of his children isn’t his but that of his wife’s ex, he will never cease to love the child as his.
He recounted how someone he knows found out that a female child his wife birthed while they were married wasn’t his. He mentioned that the father of the little girl had visited their home to demand that the said child be handed to him. He said that, for his sanity sake, the man in qustion never conducted a DNA test, still loved the child as his, and even willed some of his property to the said child.
The Nigerian man said if he is ever faced with similar situation, he will never cease to love the said child.
‘’I do not pray for things like this to happen to me \, I am saying it categorically: there is nothing in this world that would make go and conduct a DNA on the kids that I already love. If that child belongs to the other person, so be it but in my mind and till I go to heaven, that child remains my child. Doing that DNA might cause greater damage’’the Nigerian man said
