
Governor Ademola Adeleke has surpassed his entire vote total from the 2022 Osun State governorship election, with collation of results from the 2026 election still ongoing.
As of 8:53 p.m. WAT, results from 3,265 of the state’s 3,763 polling units, representing 86.8 per cent, had been counted.
The latest figures show:
– Accord: 429,703 votes
– APC: 373,753 votes
– Adeleke’s lead: 55,950 votes
In the 2022 governorship election, Adeleke polled 403,371 votes, while the APC candidate received 375,027 votes.
With 429,703 votes already recorded in the ongoing election, Adeleke has surpassed his 2022 total by 26,332 votes, despite results from hundreds of polling units yet to be fully accounted for.
Accord is currently leading in 18 of the 30 local government areas, as collation continues across the state.
The final outcome will depend on the remaining results and the official declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
