
The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, psc, mnips, has congratulated the government and people of Anambra State on the 35th anniversary of the creation of the state.
In a goodwill message issued on Thursday, August 27, 2026, CP Nnanna described the anniversary as a significant milestone in the history of Anambra, celebrating 35 years of resilience, enterprise, progress and collective contributions to the growth and development of the state.
The police commissioner commended Ndi Anambra for their resilience, hard work, community spirit and continued support for initiatives aimed at promoting peace, security and sustainable development.
He also appreciated traditional rulers, religious and community leaders, youths, women, civil society organisations and other stakeholders for their partnership with the Nigeria Police Force in maintaining peace and security across the state.
CP Nnanna reassured residents of the command’s unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property, maintaining public safety and providing professional, responsive and people-oriented policing services.
He urged Ndi Anambra to remain law-abiding and vigilant while supporting security agencies, stressing that sustainable peace and security remain a collective responsibility.
While wishing the people of Anambra a joyous 35th anniversary celebration, the commissioner called on citizens and residents to continue working together in unity and harmony towards building a safer, more peaceful and prosperous state.
“Happy 35th Anniversary, Anambra State!” the commissioner said.
