A woman and her daughter who recently received ₦1 million from popular Nigerian streamer Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, have reportedly raised concerns over alleged harassment and intimidation in their community.
The woman, who spoke about the situation, claimed that some area boys have been repeatedly visiting their residence and demanding different amounts of money from them.
According to her, the situation has become so serious that she and her daughter are currently staying in a church because they are afraid to return home and sleep there.
“We can’t sleep at home,” the woman reportedly said, explaining that the alleged harassment has left them feeling unsafe.
She claimed that the individuals have been patrolling around their house and making financial demands, creating fear for the safety of the family.
The development comes shortly after Peller reportedly gave the woman and her daughter ₦1 million in a gesture that attracted significant attention online.
