The Anambra State Police Command has commended security personnel and sister agencies for what it described as a coordinated and professional security operation during the visit of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to the state on Thursday, September 10, 2026.

The command said the peaceful conduct of the high-profile visit was largely achieved through effective inter-agency collaboration, timely intelligence-sharing and strategic deployment of personnel across key locations.

The Commissioner also commended the Anambra State Government, community leaders and residents for their cooperation and orderly conduct, saying their support contributed significantly to the peaceful outcome of the exercise.

CP Oji Ama assured residents that the command would build on the success of the operation by strengthening intelligence-led policing, inter-agency cooperation and proactive security measures across the state.

He said the police would continue to prioritise the protection of lives and property while ensuring adequate security for major public engagements and other critical activities in Anambra.

The statement was signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, on behalf of the Anambra State Police Command.
