
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has approved the immediate release of appointment letters to 4,000 successful applicants recruited into the state civil service.
The governor announced the development as part of efforts to strengthen the state’s workforce and fill vacancies within the civil service.
According to Eno, the appointments will officially take effect on October 1, 2026, while the newly recruited civil servants are expected to resume work on October 2, 2026.
“I have approved the immediate release of appointment letters to 4,000 successful applicants recruited into the Akwa Ibom State Civil Service. Appointments take effect on Oct 1st; they are expected to resume work on October 2,” the governor said.
The development is expected to provide employment opportunities for the successful applicants and increase the workforce across various ministries, departments and agencies of the Akwa Ibom State Government.
Successful candidates are expected to receive their appointment letters ahead of the October 1 commencement date.
