Nigerian singer Timaya has criticised the country’s political class, accusing politicians of being disconnected from the challenges faced by ordinary Nigerians.
The singer, in a statement circulating online, expressed frustration over the condition of the country and the lifestyles of some Nigerian politicians and their families.
According to Timaya, many politicians allegedly spend significant time abroad with their families rather than experiencing the realities faced by Nigerians at home.

The singer also questioned the promises made by politicians seeking public office, suggesting that Nigerians have repeatedly been presented with assurances of better governance without necessarily seeing the expected improvements.
